scary experience

hello all - i wanted to say first off that im new to this page... i havent had internet forever, but i do now thanks to a pirated wi-fi connection from my neighbor across the street.. (god i love cantennas)

anyway, i wanted to talk about a scary experience i had a couple years back. im originally from tucson AZ, but ive lived in aberdeen SD so freaking long i can hardly remember what AZ was like.. and for those of you who dont know, south dakota is republican capitol of the world, and stoners here are hunted like coyotes by the police (metaphorically speaking of course)

well a couple years back, after a series of bad luck, i said fuck aberdeen and bounced, but i had a shitty car and very little money, so i devised a glorious evil master plan, where, i'd move out of town, but not out of state (yet, is what i was thinking then) raise a little money and decide where i wanted to go from there. i decided to move to sioux falls, the largest town in the state, where i knew absolutely no one, and set up a garden, harvest it, and sell it for what i could get...

so i rented a house, and set up shop in the spare bedroom... i wasnt looking to grow some superior mind blowing buds, just some midgrade schwag, that i could sell to raise money and get my ass out of state.

well about 6 weeks into the grow, i went over to a buddies house to drink with him, instead of coming straight home like i normally did. at that point in time i was 2 days late on rent, but got paid the next day, so i didnt think much of it.. plus about a week before, i had foned the landlady to let her know that i'd be three days late, yes i'd pay the late fee -blah blah blah..

well that nite she came over looking to collect, and, just let herself in to nose around. she saw what was in the spare bedroom and called the police immediately..

there are two things that saved my ass when i got home - first off, she left the door unlocked when she left, immediately tipping me off that someone had been there, secondly, sioux falls had just built themselves a new police station, and were in the process of moving everything from the old station into the new one, so they couldn't get a search warrant for some two or three days after she called them, which, gave me more then enough time to break everything down and transport it to a buddies house outside of tea (a small town about 5 minutes outside of SF)

when the cops finally raided me all they found was a little plastic pocket bong of mine that had been signed by tommy chong.. they confiscated that even though it was clean, and left quite pissed off, with me sitting on the couch all along with a smug grin on my face...

i havent bothered doing any big grows since then.. just a single plant or two for personal use.

we did end up harvesting, but my plan to get out of state fell through, because i split it 50 50 with my buddy, and we just ended up throwing a couple big wild parties instead.

also, a day after the raid i found an eviction notice on my door, so i didnt bother paying the last months rent.

well thats my story. now i gotta smoke a fat one after typing all that. :jointsmile:

Were you certain the police were coming or did you assume someone had called the cops? Either way, you must have shat your pants big time hehe.

i wasnt 100% certain that she had called the cops, no, but you know, better safe then sorry. also i had told absolutely NO ONE about my grow, so when i called my buddy, and told him i needed to talk, he was baffled about why..

but to see the look on his face when i first showed him the garden was priceless. i think he got a hardon just stepping into the room. i knew he wouldnt be able to say no.
