Had a party at my house and she came to it with one of her friends, we started talking, and so I went back to her place after me, my g/f, her friend, and one of my friends went out to get breakfast.

We have been together for 1.5 years now.

I met my boyfriend-turned-husband when some friends who knew us both introduced us, thinking we'd like each other. They'd been working hard at selling us/talking us up to the other person for a few weeks before he made an actual trip to Austin and we met in person. I read somewhere once that setups engineered by friends have a high rate of success, I guess because our friends tend to have good personality insights into us.

Whatever it was, it worked. We've been married 24 years.

i met my girlfriend 4 years ago. she was dating another one of my friends. just a few months ago she started getting feelings for me. ive known her a long time now(compared to most of my friends now anyways), we just never chatted that much until i befriended her best friend. then things just kinda happened. been going out nearly 2 months.

if anybody remembers my thread asking about long distance relationships, im going out with that girl . she's coming back march 8th while im on spring break, moving back this summer.
