To be honest, I think something went wrong with that plant other than it turning herm. I've personally grown with less lumans and yielded with far better looking buds than that.

The only real downfall to HPS is the fact that you can't grow with it by itsself through the vegetative stages. Thus you are inclined to have a seperate setup for vegetative growth. That can get quite expensive. Having the money to do that is awesome!

In which case people who can afford to do it should be supported in thier efforts but so should the people who cannot afford extravegant setups or who wish to attempt a smaller scale project.

You can and will get great cannabis from CFL lighting. You just have to know what your doing in terms of botony.

Eventually we'll all end up with a sweet setup with an HPS system intertwined with the Fluorescent lighting. HPS is great, but the two together are just pure genius.
