Yup, cloning in flower is totally doable.
Hints:
-Since prepping a mom for flowering involves withholding N, and prepping for cloning ALSO does, guess what! You're prepped either way!
-When a plant is changing its life cycle, it is easier for the cells to turn into other things... like a cell that could divide and produce shoots, or roots, or sex organs?
-Early flower is a time that you may have success cloning. In fact, stupid fucking finicky strains that I have had trouble with in the past, I seem to remember them rooting BETTER taken from a plant in like the 2nd week of 12/12
-Avoid taking cuttings after you get actual bud mass, so up to the 3rd week... the bud can become host to ROT.
-And last, don't ever take the TOP when you are cloning in flower. Take low side branches, or your yield will suffer. If you take the top, you have to do it in veg and then give the plant 2-3 weeks to recover before initiating flowering.
Hope this helps!
BTW the best cloning method that I have used and loved is with rapid-rooters, clonex, and a heat mat. wOOt.
