Go check out the cultivation boards. Go to the front page of the forums, scroll down to where it says 'cultivation'. There are lots of growlogs in there. Click the link in my sig to look at my log. I grow in a closet. Others build rooms.

You could get a lot for $2000. Through the learning process, I've probably spent closer to 3500, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I learned a whole hell of a lot through trial and error.

Picture from the outside of the room with the door open, and one of my girls up-close-ish. 2 weeks to go, didn't get very much "sugar" out of her, but she smells great.

My advice... you got the cash... look for function... portability... ease of use/cleaning... ease of breaking down and bailing when you get that tipoff...

Take your $2000 and buy
-2 Homebox XL tents, 4x4x8.
-2 inline fans
-2 carbon filters
-1 HPS1000
-1 MH400
-1 propagation dome
-1 seedling heat mat
-A couple bales of coco fibre media
-some pots
-fertilizer (pure blend pro grow and bloom are GREAT)
-1 15A timer
-1 environmental controller (for controlled exhaust of the flower tent)
-and a 6-pack for when you set the whole thing up.

If you have a source for clones, you could be smoking in 8 weeks.
Each room takes about a half hour to assemble.
Having 2 of them sets you up to do a 2-room system, even a perpetual crop if you wish.
One tent for flower, one for moms and clones.
With this setup, a pound per month is not out of the question.
When and if I ever get back in the game, that's how I'm doing it.

They have these at the hydro shop nearest my house. (notice i didn't say near. just nearest. why do they always put those things out in the freaking sticks?!)
I fell in love with it too. I was pondering if there was a way for me to build something similar myself, cheaply.
