Warm (not burn!) your receipt with a lighter or lit cigarette and see if it turns black... If it does, it's thermal print paper. You can usually tell because thermal paper is really smooth and kinda shiny. It has a coating that produces the type instead of ink... That coating can't be good for you to smoke... Other receipts, I say try it! It will be harsh as hell, but it will get the job done. :bong:
