I starting running every day around the same time that I started smoking heavily, and my asthma problems pretty much disappeared.

i play basketball year round competively. and ive been on a two week break. and i didnt realize but thats when my problems started but thats also when the weather got crazy.

You also said that marijuana doesn't affect you and that the weather over there might be the cause of it. The only way to surely find out is to come to sunny California (where the weather is more stable and nice) roll up a joint and spark that baby up. Then give us answer when you are finish.

yea ive been there....didnt smoke there though. but the weather is a hell of a lot better. its not as humid.

Actually she's wrong but you having asthma makes it easier for her to scare you away from smoking lol...actually cannabis helps asthma. I'm not saying that smoking it is recommended if you have asthma but you could vaporize it or cook it up and get just as high but it'll just be better for your asthma. But to answer the question I think you're pretty safe. My friend who also has asthma started smokin same time as me and actually it has gotten better. He doesn't even have to catch his breath when he runs anymore like he used to. He literally would have to stop and catch his breath and probably use his inhaler lol.

i collapsed a lung couple weeks ago and had to get surgery. It was from sports, nothing related to smoking, i think.
but has anyone had this, and still smokes?

I have asthma... Asthma flare-ups have gotten more frequent since I've started smoking pot, like, wheezing after walking up a great big hill, but it's not a big deal. A cup of tea or something with caffine with calm it down right away.

And if I wheeze when I'm smoking, I just chill for a minute, then take smaller hits. Or vape with a lightbulb. It's totally managable, and the little bit of wheezing that it causes nowhere near outweighs the joys of smoking pot. I still weight-train, row, canoe, play DDR...all those good things. You'll be okay.
