when i was a beginner this was my setup:
*4-6 cfl's.....42 watts each
*random bagseed so i get to know the plant before i bought seeds from a seed bank
*miracle grow soil.....dont use it. i was a noob and used it, had problems with nute burn a lot. get something that says like "seedling starter" and try and stay away from anyting that says "feeds up to ----- months"
*5 gallon bucket to plant in.

then all you need to do is get a timmer and your practically there. good luck

p.s. once i got a couple grows under my belt i started upgrading lights and everything.
keeko Reviewed by keeko on . Growing pot the no nonsence way Advice please OK. I live in a converted attic in a house with other people. I don't want them to know I’m growing pot. Both sides of my room have attic space that wasn't used in the conversion so I can grow pot there. There is ventilation where there is a gap between the roof and the attic floor. I've read loads of 'grow guides' and they're all just very complex and unpractical. I have a low budget I just want to grow some pot, for my own use and see what happens.
