I worked secuirity for about a month a few years back, when I was in college. One of my gigs was onstage security at a tool concert. It was at a pretty small venue, considering the artists. I stood right next to the band --at the edge of the stage for their whole set. Before the concert I hung out with them backstage as they tuned up, and after the concert I got to handpick which groupies went on the bus.

For a few weeks after that I was getting stopped everywhere and recognized by random people who remembered me from the show. Crazy!

That security job was pretty cool, other than the pay. One of my other gigs was escorting the 49ers cheerleaders around the stadium on gameday.
