dude i made one of these this weekend! by far the cheapest and yet most effective device ive ever used. i used a socket, and a vitamin water bottle... wow it blew me away
but i dont take the cap off, i just suck the smoke out of the hole the water comes out

good craft and worksmanship... so don't think i'm tearing you down or anything o.0 cuz i'm not...

but you're not the first to put a metal bowl into the lid of a bottle lol... the bowl asembly on my steam roller is a 20 oz bottle cap with a metal bowl (including threads)...

and theres an easier way just for future refrence... you get the hole just almost as big around as the threads are... and you put a flame through it from a lighter for about 10 seconds, then push down and turn the way you'd turn if you were screwing something in.... it makes threads so you can just twist the bowl out and switch beween shit... like the bowl i use on my steam rolller is also the one iuse on my gas mask... when i need to smoke from either i just screw it off like you would on any normal bong/pipe (metal)

I know im obviously not the first to do that, but its just the first homemade thingy that turns out to work and not be foil...I was just high and proud of myself, lol, i just found it was really cool cause it fitted with almost no work on it and it looked nice.

And btw, this thread was not to say I got the most original homemade thing, in fact I would have been very pleased if somebody posted that before I figured out myself. I couldnt make a nice homemde thing, so its just to help if somebody has problems with that like I did.

i use my metal pipe as the slide bowl for my sobe waterfall too (peices of it anyway), it works really well because it the top and bottom part screw in witht he cap inbetween them, so it clamps down nice and tight on it.

i havent used it in a long time either... made it for fun and dont even use it... gotta get on that
