Please help droopy plants
I can't figure out what's wrong...I thought I had the problem fixed but it only made them look better for a day if someone has experience with this setup please let me know what I'm missing
aero 9 aeroponic setup...started in organic plugs and moved into the nets with hydroton pellets daily air temp is 75 when 400w hps light sun reflector is on I have a fan blowing in an opening of foil covered cardboard around the light which is 2 feet above plants I have a picture to show you what they look like this is during the middle of their day phase so I'm assuming the leaves should be atleast looking better than this...started with brita filtered water and added 400ppm of nuts are they too small could this possibly be too much food? maybe I should just run water through the system if that's the case. the plants leaves feel kinda brittle to the touch as they felt almost leathery before some spots of yellowing have shown up but nothing major if this is running as a "TAG" is it possible I could be over feeding? over watering? someone just help me I don't want to kill em
PS the bottom leaves on most are twisted and brittle and it seems to be traveling up to the top of the plant slowly if that helps oh and the water temp is hovering at 66 I read that the water temp is supposed to be very cool in aero someone let me know if this could be it possibly need it warmer till they get older then lower or what everything I read tells me to do something elsealwayssleepdeprived Reviewed by alwayssleepdeprived on . Several thoughts.....questions. How old are these plants? Are they clones or from seed? How long have they been in the setup? Have you been checking the ph? Could be overnuting or ph...or both. 400ppm plus tap water seems a little strong to me but I have never tried clones so if they ARE ....then don't know. PH is always my first bet.
I have well water and tried a britta filter originally and was not happy with it. Leaves too much crud in your water and didn't help with my ph problems at all so ended up using RO (or distilled) water and am very glad I did.
If you have some sort of reflector with foil in it.....I could not quite follow that explanation......I would certainly get rid of the foil AND not use foil at all in your setup. Foil reflects irregularly and causes hot spots. I would use Mylar or flat white paint.Haze(y) Grow Log:

droopyness indicates underwatering or overwatering make sure you water once per 3 days or so.. droopy and brittle is ph i think you should check the ph and make sure its 6-7. make sure there is good air circulation in there also not only with fan pushing air around but fresh air coming in

weedhound and whisky I've put up a pretty detailed post in the hydro section and will continue to update that one so please refer to there about my setup but real quick I'll address some of the questions here cause they are different from what mack asked
the droopyness shouldn't be from over/underwatering because it's aeroponics you don't stop watering you just leave the pump on continually as far as I've been told if this is wrong or you know reasons why this shouldn't be the case I'll go get an interval timer or somethin maybe when they are really tiny and the roots haven't grown through the little organo plug through the hydroton so it hangs outta the nets you need to only water very little each hour like a minute for each hour I dunno help me out if ya know I've tried to keep up on the ph with crazy results so I'm not sure what's up with that but I've done my best to keep it at 6 I've checked twice a day and it usually seems to want to climb fast goes in at 6 and climbs to over 8 I'll drop it down to a bit under 6 again and by the next morning it'll be way over 8
ok weed for your q's
the plants are a little over a month...pretty small and shitty for that old I'm calling them a month from the time they poked out of the organo plugs in the humidity dome they were from seed... as far as the nutes I answered that extensively on the other post but the shop owner told me to go to atleast 1k which is what seems to have sparked all this problem
the reflector is made by sun systems the foil I refered to was taped to cardboard to make a wall around them
