i just avoid the whole search thing to begin with, cant tell you how many times ive been pulled over and stoned, not searched once, all u have to do it politly tell the officer to get to the point, never say your in a hurry or a rush. Tell them your on your way wheere ever your going, if they ask about anything else other then why they pulled u over dont ask if you being detained they will ask u why u would think that, just keep to the point of the stop and if he gets off topic ask him if there is a problem, he has to say yes or no, and continue with the stop, if he asks to search... dont say i have the right to say no so i will, ask him if there is a problem if there isnt then he wont continue to ask to search, he has no reason to, and its harrasment if he does, there are more ways to get out of bullshit then stating your rights, like telling him your rights with out even saying my rights, "may i search your car" "is there a problem officer" "no these is no probelm just a routine stop for speeding" " ok officer i am expected at a friends house, not to rush you, but i have somewhere to be" done!

You only hear the horror stories, rarely do cops actually go out of their way to look for drugs if they don't smell them or didn't pull you over under the suspicion of you using drugs. Thats why cops haven't found weed in a brown paper bag sitting right next to your lap. If they wanted to search, they sure of hell would have found it. It may work a couple of times, but stupid advice like this is how more threads in this forum are produced.

If you want good hiding spots there's a thread in the Recreational Forum that has specific, clever spots.

Why does everyone assume cops are ignorant??

I was present when some friends dumped an entire bag into a king-size bag of Doritos cause we got lit up... cops searched the bag or doritos, found all the bits of weed, and the driver went to jail.

A bit late but.. go fix your expired tags and any burnt out lights. Eliminate the reasons why they pull you over to begin with. I don't know about you but if I got anything on me you bet your ass I'm doing the posted speed limit. Maybe its just where I live but any drug conviction is an automatic 6mo. suspended license (first offense), regardless if a vehicle is involved.

Correct. No reason to get pulled over and there will be no search at all.
Only times i got in trouble was with people who drive crap cars who get pulled over for fix it tickets when we're hot boxing the car.

I agree that its good to have food in the car (only because if a dog alerts the cop may think its because of the food). But by all means don't leave your bud in the food. Best idea is to put your bag somewhere airtight (I like to use nalgene bottles with screw tops) so as little smell escapes as possible. Then maybe have some food in the car also, and if you have a cat have that little fucker with you. The nalgene will definitely hide the smell from the cop. And the cat and the food could confuse the dog enough so the cop can't tell what he's alerting over.

If you're like me you always have weed on you 24/7 and that means if you get pulled over you're fucked so here is a good way to minimize the risk of getting caught, I did this today after picking up a fat sack that STUNK.

oh and my tags are expired so i have a lot of routine traffic stops.

after you pick up a bag, if you're worried about getting pulled over, like on a busy weekend at 2am gettin a bag with every other car being a cop.

all u gotta do is go thru the drive thru at any fast food joint and get some fries and a burger and of course some soda for the inevitable cotton mouth. then pop your bag into the fast food bag and viola, risk free transporting.

i cant tell you how many times this has happened to me and saved my ass. one time it was 3 am and i was drunk and high and just got done blazing before i left and i got pulled over, the cop didn't smell shit because i just got wendys or something. so all i got was a warning for going 15mph over the posted speed. CHA CHING!

Well then don't act suspicious dammit, why would a cop search everything in every kids car? They don't just the ones who are obviously hiding something, I've bluffed and said that a cop could search my car and he wouldn't find anything and he bought it.

I had a few empties in the back and my car was full of stems seeds shake and empty baggies.

It is NEVER in your best interest to consent to a search. Exercise your damn rights. It is even better to avoid this situation by doing the following:

*Blend in - Don't put stupid shit on your car like a spoiler on a Honda or big rims on your old Buick. You look like a jackass and you are asking to get pulled over. Drive a boring sedan and stay below the radar.

*Drive like a sane person - No speeding or other traffic violations. Keep your tags current. Replace burnt out headlights, taillights, etc... People get busted for stupid shit like this all the time.

*Appearance - Do you look like a doper? Take a shower, come your hair, don't dress like a thug. If you've been smoking, wash your hands and face and change your clothes. Trust me - you smell like weed and they will try to use this as probable cause. (And they will likely succeed.)

*Keep your stash at home. If you must travel with it, read my comments above. If you get pulled over, it is NEVER in your best interest to consent to a search.

Now say the following to yourself several times until you can remember it. I do not consent to a search. I do not consent to a search. I do not consent to a search... This is your right as an American. Use it dammit!
