Male or Female? Help Please!

So this is my 1st try growing and I figured I would have one soil based plant and one in a hydroponics system. The one in the soil is not growing fast enough and obviously has something wrong with it but my main concern is my hydro based plant. Is this a Male or Female? I'm not really sure how to tell. There is no pistils coming out but then again its only been in there for about a month and 1/2. Help please! :weedpoke:

you have no preflowers yet. those are not preflowers sweetie, when you see a nub inbetween there and the branch, that will be your flower and place to look to determine gender

yeah cant tell dude. wait and hope for ladies. I talk to my plants and refer to them as girls from seedlings to try ingraine femeninaty into them.

yea today the ladies [hopefully] finally became to tall and I can no longer hold the light above the plant so I'm going to have to move it somewhere else or figure out a way for it to get enough light. Sorry I saw them and was worried, I've put a lot of work into them and dont want it to go to waste

Another stupid question...is there any way to speed up the vegative process and get it to try to flower, The plant is at a height that I'm comfortable with the yields that I may get

you don't have much choice it seems. Time to go 12/12 and check every day for males to throw away quickly.
