    Anger

Well one reason I smoked was to control my anger. I was also on high doses of my antiphsycotics because of my anger. No one tells me exactly why I am so angry though. I get impulses to go break things and kill people. I get rage and idk just lose it. I was just wondering if anyone had tips to control my anger.

Well as of right now, I ussually take jogs or walks. Screaming the whole way down to the park. Then I ussually chill there and smoke if I have somehting to smoke. Sometimes I continue walking to the 711 and I'll buy a snack. But I have actually been looking into meditation, but I don't get exactly what you do LOL. I tried it for a little while but I always ended up falling asleep.

Anger has consumed me for part of my life. I can say now that I'm free from that inner demon that use to haunt me. Controlling it is important. Anger spreads to every aspect of life from how you look at the world, to the decisions you make. To shed your desires to harm others requires you focus on the problem.

First is to be honest with yourself. I don't know you, and the events in your life that causes these impulses. You have to find out what pisses you off, gain acceptances of these triggers, and learn to control them. You have to be aware of when you start feeling angry to start cooling down. Take deep breaths, meditate for a bit, walk away if you have to. Letting this anger build up to the boiling point will only cause you to act upon it. You also have to control your desire to act upon it. Sometimes you let yourself get angry, you have to start telling yourself you don't want to be angry. Which brings me to my second point...

Second is to find an outlet for this anger, and release it in a constructive way. This is an opportunity to find a new hobby. It could be anything from poetry, to boxing. You have to find what is perfect for you that drains you of this anger.

Third is to change your outlook of the world. Thinking in a negative light will only bring more anger. Thinking about killing someone because for example they screwed you over. You have to think why, and how you can put the thought to rest, or confront it in a constructive manner. Having this kind of mentality affects your aura. When you get angry, you are essentially putting mud on your face, covering the light that is inside you. This light affects your interaction with others. I'm not saying to pull out the tie-dye shirts, flowers and prance around, but thinking more optimistically about the prospects in your life.

I also suggest you try to meditate. It's a great way to clear your mind, calm you down, and having a moment of tranquility to yourself.

In the end, you have to want peace with yourself. It's the only way to overcome anger problems.

Yeah I have considered taking up a hobby but there is really no way to pay for it and my parents don't really like I guess support me like that. They wouldn't pay for any classes or shit like that or a boxing bag. I rarely get money too, and my family is in debt by quite a lot of money. Meditation is something I am definatley considering now. I would just assume I am anger because I am "just another angsty teen" and a "bi-polar nut job". My anger is sorta free flowing. I have no idea where it stems from. I snap at anything, I try to keep a positive outlook on life but my head is just so fucked up I guess. It really just makes me crazy. I get REALLY PARANOID. Like beyond reason, I always take shit the wrong way too. It really sucks, basically I have mania and get cocky and start shit and just have too much anger and energy, and then I cross the line and get depressed and mad at myself. So I am stuck in this infinate loop. But thanks for the advice.

What you described is very similar to the anger I had. It's a cycle you have to work yourself out of. The advice I gave it easier said than done, it took me a long time to finally understand my anger, many trials, tribulations, and relapses. To overcome it takes time, not just a quick-fix. It requires you to make changes you might not necessarily be comfortable with. Slowly start to open yourself to the idea.

As for hobbies, not all things have to cost money. You have to keep your mind busy, otherwise you'll focus on angry thoughts, which would continue your loop. Perhaps get a job and earn yourself a little money, in the end rewarding yourself. It's you who is the controller of your own happiness, not your parents, not your friends. You.

Good luck man, I wish you the best, matt.

    and Robert, thanks
