Swearing/I hadn't finished...
Hey, I hadn't finished what I wanted to say!
What is this division between the mods and us you are trying to create?
This matter is not resolved. I wish to continue with a discussion on this issue.
However,
I accept your rules. I wont use the C word. I don't agree with your reasons, but I will refrain from using the word in future.
I would like to know why this word is so universally offensive to women. It is just a word. I use all words as creatively as i can. I always try to give words subtely diferent meanings within the contxt of my prose. I don't hate women, I like them. I even have some respect for them. I have a deeper understanding of feminist principles than most women I know.
As someone who has generally been treated like shit by women throughout his entire life, and as someone who suffered psychological bullying from a female teacher at the age of 6, you are seriously expecting me to refrain from using the C word in case I offend a random women I have never met on the internet?
Of course, I will. But my previous comments with the C word were not beligerent, nor did they carry any disrespect from me to my earth sisters.
Yours, with respect and assertion but NO aggression :hippy:iPot Reviewed by iPot on . Swearing/I hadn't finished... Hey, I hadn't finished what I wanted to say! Alot of ladies consider the "C" word about the same as a black person would look at the "N" word. Is this something you'd call your mother or sister? What would you do if someone else did since it's "their right"?
It was a 0 point infraction warning........why get so bent out of shape?
Have a good one!

I'm not bent out of shape dude, I'm just asking.
I just want to defend my right to act like stoned up teenager in the one place I can also talk freely about smoking pot.
I had a similar thing recently in another forum because i used the word bitch to refer to a debt collecting representative i was dealing with. After someone explained the reason I thought it was fair enough though.
I'm afraid I don't buy the its degrading to women argument. Lots of words are degrading to different people fo different reasons. I know the main antagonists, so i use them sparingly and with consideration. In a world where men are becoming ever more the the under dog, and treated with a great deal of disrespect from women I defend my right to use the C word now and again.
This just doesn't seem the place to fret over the C word. I wish for no further fret though so I'll remove it immediately from my mamory banks.
I'm still going to use the F word an that occasionally from now on, unless you tell me otherwise.
Peace and mutual respect.
EDIT: yay i got my signature! wheeeeech I'm going out to buy some beer!

It was a 0 pointer so no big deal, in fact, I'll go in and reverse it now since I think we see eye to eye.
We ARE NOT stating no swearing........just that there are some words that are directly offensive to some groups. THANK THE DEMOCRATS.......LMAO!!!
