Oh I saw Bowie with NIN! I have to agree, well worth the price.

Probably the best shows I have seen were the Wailers or Groovatron....I'm gonna see them both agian in May. I'm probably gonna see ekoostik hookah in July and that will probably be another one of the best shows of my life.

Best thing ever at the Wailers concert... some crazy guy dancing around with an infant on his shoulders under a tent where you probably couldnt see more than 25 feet infront of you because of all the weed smoke....

    Immortal - Plague Of Evil

This must be one of the best bootlegs today IF we speak about the soundquality. This is a kind of funny bootleg with Abbath talking to the fans between the songs and there is a pure underground feeling....like they play in a basement with like 25 souls in the room.a good recording taken from 3 different shows, 1 of them bieng the entire cleveland show â?? Ritual I â?? , either with halford on the short lived 3 date tour, or with manowar, i'm unsure. the sound fades in and out as of quality, but the song selection is excellent. it's at least worth it for abbaths hilarious rants *tyrants*. A definate must pick up for any immortal fan.

    Ritual I :
    1/ Damned in black
    2/ One by one
    3/ Solarfall
    4/ Sons of northern darkness
    5/ Tyrants
    6/ Battles in the north
    7/ Blashyrkh
    Rituals II :
    8/ Intro
9/ Withstand the fall of time
    10/ Unholy forces of evil
    Rituals III :
11/ Unsilent storms in the north abyss
    12/ Mountains of might
13/ The sun no longer rises
    14/ Frostdemonstorm

Black Sabbath - Born In Hell *sweet*

1983 - the year where ex-Deep Purple singer Ian Gillan joined Black Sabbath. The result was the outstanding "Born Again" record. Recordings on "Born In Hell" are taken from "Captured Live" - a US radio promo. So you can imagine how brilliant the sound quality is. Also nobody should miss the chance to hear Gillan sing classic Sabbath tracks and specially Sabbath doing the legendary "Smoke On The Water". Released in 1992 in Italy.

Bob Marley - The Nash & Sims Demos 1968

For those who don't know Sims or Nash:
In late 1967, Bunny was arrested on a charge of Marijuana possession and sent to jail for 14 months. Shortly after, in early 1968, Peter Tosh was also behind bars, being arrested at an anti-Rhodesia demonstration alongside singer/producer Prince Buster.

Bob didn't escape the cells either. One day in 1968, Bob was driving his newly acquired second hand Hillman Minx through Kingston, when he let his passenger, Mortimer Planner, take over at the wheel. Planner didn't have a driving licence, and so when the pair were stopped by the police, both were arrested and spent the night locked up.

It was Mortimer Planner who introduced Bob to Danny Sims, a Jamaican based American who promoted concerts throughout the Caribbean. Sims was also the manager of Johnny Nash, a powerfully voiced Texan singer who had enjoyed several hit singles in the States. Both Sims and Nash were highly impressed with Bob's tunes and convinced him to sign a publishing deal with Sims company, Cayman Music.

The deal with Sims also allowed the Wailers to record freely for other producers, giving them the best of both worlds - for if their records failed to sell, they could always rely on Sims for cash. The Wailers set about recording a series of demo tapes for Sims, remaking versions of 'Put It On', 'Nice Time' and even a version of 'I'm Still Waiting', reworked as 'I'm Still Wailing'.

By now the Wailers consisted of Bob, Peter and Bunny, who had just been released from Richmond Prison Farm. Rita would often add harmonies to the recordings made for Sims, but none of these demos were released at the time. In early Spring 1969, the Wailers approached Leslie Kong, who had produced Bob's first ever recordings, at Beverleys Records and had just produced the first ever Jamaican No.1 hit in Britain with Desmond Dekker's 'Israelites'."

    Praise the demo blog

The quality is about what one would expect from demos recorded in 1968 Jamaica, but that don't bother me none.

Black Sabbath - Ozzy Meets The Priest

The bootleg gave themself a second title: An Event In Rock History. And that's a fact! Rob Halford, better known as ex-singer for Judas Priest, joined Sabbath for two gigs to support Ozzy on his last shows for the "No More Tours"-Tour because Dio refused to do so! On this boot you can hear recordings from the second concert plus recordings of the four tracks which Black Sabbath Mark I played finally at the show together and which later on lead to the plans for a great re-union with Osbourne/Butler/Iommi/Ward! Recordings are made in the crowd, so sound quality is less good then on radio shows but still ok. Released in 1993, supposed to be released by an Italian label.

    Tracklist

    Children Of The Grave
    Children Of The Sea
    Symptom Of The Universe

Slipknot - Bled Donington to death

All those who thought it couldn't get any better than Saturday at Download were in for some serious thrills on Sunday. The action was relentless, and fans barely had a chance to catch their breath as legendary set followed legendary set - each one marking the highlight so far, only to be superceded by the next band!

Slipknot literally went off with a bang - an impressive wall of pyrotechnics, later dwarfed in impact by last year's hero of Download - Joey Jordison - with his brutal, mind-blowing drum solo that will be talked about for years to come. They were their usual mischievous selves but this time they had some kind of hug fest going on with the crowd. No more talk of â??maggotsâ? doing their will but vocal hugs for support and the missing â??clownâ? (one of the guys that belts the crap out of the drums at the side whilst running around frantically) and â??familyâ?. Sure they added a few â??motherfuckersâ? in there but they were more Labrador than Rottweiler and amazingly when they said jump everyone still said, â??yes master, how high?â? They managed the same trick as last time they played Donington; they got everyone (well about 20,000) to sit down then jump up and â??go fucking nutsâ? on queue. That is a spectacle trust me on that one.

    Death - Scream bloody gore

Over the course of more than a decade and seven increasingly accomplished albums, Death became a bona fide heavy metal icon. Now widely recognized as the father of death metal

was first formed by Chuck Schuldiner under the name Mantas in 1983 when he joined forces with two local musicians named Rick Rozz and Kam Lee, both from a band called Massacre. Chuck then moved from Orlando, Florida to California and left them behind. Their first studio album was released in 1987 and the band then became the first big death metal band in the world. Growling vocals had been used by bands like Bathory, Hellhammer and Venom before but it had never been done like this and in the US before. Death quickly established a name for themselves and are by now a legendary band for metal fans all over the world. In 1990, nearing the beginning of a tour together with the German thrash metal band Kreator, Chuck decided to leave the band. The band went on tour without him bu later on he reformed the band with a completely new line-up while Butler and Andrews left to reform their old band Massacre.

I might consider seeing Umphrey's McGee on Saturday. You ever seen them live?
