Small Closet Soil System - How?

Hey,

I'll give you some background first :

Always had a very large intrest into throwing together a small soil based maybe 6 pot small grow closet. I've kept it off for quite awile, ecuase my mom wouldent really prefer it, Asked it about it and she said it completely conceiled. But she let me take - in a frineds plant becuase his was getting too much heat from his parents.

His plant was a rather crappy little project, Just a kinna exparament really, and his parents are hardcore on the fact he smokes weed. they'd boot him out i bet if they found it. None the less, it plant was about 1.5 feet tall, i fig stem going straight upwards basicly... it was lke that when i got it, be brought along a cardboard box with one littke 18 inch, 17watt 'cool white' light bulb. on a completely fucked up time schedual. I quickly threw in 4 more florecent bulbs i had, 2 being warm light bulbs, And started giving it a 12-hour on 12-hour light cycles, gave it food, lits of air, and it anded up wielding something like 3. grams, which we thought was large for what little was growing off of it.... boo to that.

So now!

I moved into an apartment in St James Town, Toronto, Ontario. And if anyone knows where that is, its about 2 blocks away from some of the best herbal connection stores around. All linked, all have compassion about culture, and most know what they're talking about. So within walking distance, i have a Seed shop, Bong shop, Compassion centre, Many Smoke Cafes, THC's, which is the 3 story, Bong, Merch, anything pot related, and bottom floor grow shop. All connected in one, So i have a certain advantage.

After moving out, I found a closet I found that could be rather suitable for a small little project of my own. I have a closet, Right near a large window, can give plenty of air to (large opening), Its about, 1.5f width x 3.5 length x 13f height. With a coathanger beam through the middle of it, so can chain up a light, and make it rather adjustable to the plants needs. Decent not really, (but enough) amount of room, and I dont need to worry about smell factor really.

I have a rather adjustable budget, money coming quite good, plan on spending a month grabing all.

Plan on making somewhat of a 6 pot system, soil based.


The big question!

Does anyone have any grow advice through most parts of the grow pierod (germ, trans, veg, and budding), Good easy Ineternet instruction sites, DVDs, Books that I can pick up that would be geared towards a small project such as this one...

Just about any thread in this section with the words "closet grow" would give you some ideas. Your closet sounds about the same as mine; I use soil & up to 300W of CFL. (see http://boards.cannabis.com/closet-cabinet-growing/93029-tubgirls-not-tubgirl.html & http://boards.cannabis.com/closet-cabinet-growing/103289-wheelchair-project.html) If you have good ventilation, then you could put a small (150-250W) HPS in there instead. I've found ONE FAQ that deal specifically with closet growing: Closet Cannabis Growing Guide, and it's not all that helpfull.

I gathered most of my closet knowledge from reading the threads here (and other places) that deal with closet grows.
