First since I have been reading these forums for a while (but not posting) I have to give everyone props,there is alot of knowledge in these forums. I been smoking since the early 90's , and have done a few outdoor grows with success back in the 90's. This is my first indoor grow and first grow in around 8 years, So im a little rusty but am learning alot quickly. Well its been awhile and because of the summer heat I had to break down my grow, but now that the temps are more manageable I have started afresh.

I have constructed a nice flower area in a cabinet 48in long,18in deep,6ft high. It has a 400watt hps and a 400watt mh in it , so approx 133 watts sq ft LOL! Temps are staying between 75 - 82 when both lights are on. The Two Hid lamps are at the top of the cabinet with its own intake/exhaust with glass keeping the heat out of the flower area. The flower area gots its own intake/exhaust powered by a stanley blower/ with a diy carbon filter attached to it. Im Using homemade co2 this grow (5 gal bucket,5 gal sugar,yeast) and pure blend pro bloom (for soil) , pure blend grow, liquid karma , Brer rabbit blackstrap molasses , bat guano, ph up/downing properly the whole nine yards lol. The soil mixure im using is perfect mix organic, worm castings and lava rock. My grow will be 90% organic (hey cant give up some things yet lol)

I currently have (4) Mandalla hashberry, (6) Alien NLX, (4) Nirvana AK48, (6) Nirvana K2,
and (3) Nirvana Northern Lights seedlings 23 total. They were germed in paper towels with ph'ed spring water on sept 18th. Some of the NLX was already showing taproots 12 hours later. Now all 23 are in the cabinet in 40 ounce cups and looking happy. Right now just the 400 watt mh is on in the cabinet but during flower both lamps will be on.
I am hoping for some dense flavorful aromatic nugs and a good yeild per sq ft.

I plan on also making some seeds for the future both feminized (using homemade colloidal silver) and regular. So im hoping to get at least 1 good male out of each strain. (the males will be housed in a "pollen safe" lol rubbermaid chamber in another area once the plants are sexed) with some trusty cfl's.

I plan on ending up with 10-12 females for the flower area.

Sorry Ive been away for spells but life doesn't wait for anyone hopefully old folks will stop by and give me there 2 cents and new ones too lol. I will probably start a new log once the girls n boys get bigger but for now we can all chat here lol.

Here's some pics of my new grow cab so you can get an idea of what i'm working with , during veg just the 400watt MH is running , but during flower both the 400 watt MH and 400 watt HPS will be going. The lamps are separated from the grow area with a couple sheets of glass, with there own ventilation. The grow space also has its own separate ventilation.The cabinet is 6ft tall 4 ft wide and 18 inches deep of grow space. During peak flower there will be 133watts sq ft in that bad boy. I tested the lamps pre-grow and am having no problem keeping the temps in range. Right now seedlings are on a platform to be closer to the lamps during growth I will have to lower the platform because I have a fixed lamp position. Ive still got some things to do before I get this bad boy exactly the way I want it but as it stands now when I crank both lamps on its like a lil sun coming out of there, heh.

Just a quick update my new plants are coming along nicely probably will switch them over to flower around oct 20-25th. Ive been turning on the hps for a few hours a day along with the mh , to give them time to adjust to the high light intensity. So far so good. Ive checked the pH of the soil water runoff a couple times and its staying right around 6.5.
Has anyone who's reading ran light intensity's as high as I'm running them on this grow? (133 watts a sq ft of HID lighting) Is anyone keeping up with my current grow? lol ... I'm sure once the flowers start getting juicy and phat peoples will be lusting over my thread lol.

yo dude whas up? those babys look nice as hell. let me ask you a question. i just built me a veg box, and since yours look good , i was hoping you could offer some advice.
my question is. will it work? it is 40 inches high x 50 inches long x 18 inches wide. i am using 4 48 inch floro's. they have 2 40 watt daylight bulbs and 2 warm light bulbs.. the box is big enough to hold 1 mother up to 5 plants total. i plan on having 1 mother and grow 4 clones every 2 months. i plan on keeping all plants no bigger then 3 feet at full maturity.i would also like to know how you hooked up all 6 of you cfl's to 1 power supply.i plan on using 4 150 watt cfl's for flowering. so any help would be great. thanks
