First since I have been reading these forums for a while (but not posting) I have to give everyone props,there is alot of knowledge in these forums. I been smoking since the early 90's , and have done a few outdoor grows with success back in the 90's. This is my first indoor grow and first grow in around 8 years, So im a little rusty but am learning alot quickly. The seeds im using are bagseed for my first grow (I didnt want to kill good beans), Rating: 5

Hey r00t, I wasn't even going to log on today...but then I saw how well that indica lady is doing at 16 days of flower.....WOW! She'll probably be a faster finisher for some quick steller smoke.........Oh, how I love indicas!

Bree1978 hellooo stranger! I know they are flowering pretty well; even the sativa dom plant is flowering at a good rate. Im glad I took clones off these plants.

thats a nice grow man i would never have the patience to grow out a sativa, it kills me as it is.

tell me....how do you like this 400watt light? would you have rather gone to a 600 instead?

im trying to figure out what i want for my next light, i thinking of going the 600 route but tat worries me a tad so im thinking a 400, dammit.

invision thanks; I like the 400watt hps alot I got a great deal on it at htgsupply it was less then $150 (with the bulb+reflector) , but I can see myself upgrading to a couple 600watt or a 1000watt in the future (ill prolly get a dual 600watt for more even light distrabution, plus about 50k extra lumens over a 1000watt). I think a 600 is a good choice for lumen/wattage ratio , it all depends on how much penetration/yeild you want really. Im really happy with how my plants are doing under the 400watt hps. Also the bigger the light the more heat you got to deal with so it depends on what your looking for. But you prolly know all this already lol.

I have been working on my ventalation system as it is ghetto at the moment (but gets the job done for the most part) but I found a nice diy stanley blower mod that will solve my ventalation problems. Will prolly post pics when its completed. Its going to be a cooltube/blower/carbon filter with all diy parts. Going to walmart to pic up the blower tommorow. I was gonna get a $150 vortex , but a $40 stanley blower and $10 worth of parts to mod it seems like a great deal to me, and ive seen people cooling 1000watts+ with these diy blowers on forums (even running them though carbon filters) and still being able to keep things cool. So after I mine set up let you all know how its working.

Just a heads up, that blower will be super loud (unless you build a sound muffling box which I have seen on here). Personally I need to be stealth and that is why I chose the Vortex. Even with it being much quieter than a standard bathroom fan, I still built a sound muffling box.....

Bree hey I picked up the blower before I read your comment; the blower does make some noise but its not very loud at all. Once I get the ducting and carbon filter on it it should be pretty quiet. It puts out alot more air then I thought It would and for $40 bucks I couldnt beat the price. It will be able to cool the hps in the cooltube and filter air though the carbon filter no problems once I mod it to be able to work with ducting. (also if it ever breaks walmart with replace it lol ;walmart owns!)

Here is a pic of my blower for those who are curious. Ill post pics of it tomm after It is modded to work with ventalation ducting also.
