Is 170 PPM TDS considered "hard" water?
Thanks for the help! Since it is from a well theres no chlorine in it, but it does seem pretty hard from the spots left on dishes. Can the plants use the calcium and magnesium from the water or should I still think about using a cal mag supplement?
Tokudai Reviewed by Tokudai on . Is 170 PPM TDS considered "hard" water? I had a check run on my well and the total hardness came out to 170 PPM.. Is this really high? No chlorine or iron in the water, no nitrates/nitrites - the hardness consists of calcium, magnesium and manganese. Can my plants absorb those micro nutrients from this source or are they insoluable/unusable to the plant in this form? Rating: 5
