Why does syrup mess you up so much?

I swear when we put Aunt Jemima syrup on a blunt it makes me feel like I'm kind of drunk/high or just WAY more high. Is it bad to be smoking syrup or anything? Really fucks me up. Burns slow as hell too heh.

i tried that with my friends blunt wraps, they wouldnt stick.
we had to unroll the blunt, that shit tasted horrendous

LMAO, I seriously hope it's OK because it burns so damn slow and works SO damn good. I smoked a mids blunt with it on there with 2 other people and I was stoned for a good 3 hours.
