New Zealand isn't THAT cheap from what I understand, and they don't like foreingers taking their jobs, especially Americans. There are plenty of places you can go though that have a better quality of life for a cheaper price than the united states. you mentioned not having time to go to college, have you thought about teaching english abroad? you can be qualified in some european, latin american, or asian country, as long as you do a four week TEFL program. Plan ahead and you'll be okay bud!
