Pure Diesel Kush, Kali Mist, Ebb and Flow

dude that plant is looking beautiful, and I am quite tempted to try it out myself. I'd definitely have to scrog it to fit in my cabinet, but do you think it would take well to that?

I'm growing a northern lights cross but I do love sativa smoke, and your plant looks great

The contestants: 5 sour diesel x pure kush (+1 sd x pk runt), 5 Resevoir Seeds Kali Mist (both strains from clone) The method: Ebb and Flow, Using GH Flora series, 3-2-1,2-2-2,0-1-2 (lucas during flower), 400W HPS The time: 11 days into 12/12. Starting to show white hairs. Key: The taller plants are the sd x pk, the shorter are the Kali Mist. I have set them up in a terrace (see last pic). Rating: 5

These pics are all of the sour diesel kush cross at day 38 flowering. The pistils are starting to turn a nice dark orange accompanied by a purplish hue to the buds. The last pic shows a profile of the plant - the buds look good but not a big yielder for its height. The cross leans more to the diesel side - by that I mean lanky and reeking of lemons and fuel.

These are all Kali Mist at day 38 flowering. The plant by the door pic is the exact same plant shown in earlier photos in this thread - I put the pic in for reference.

Cornelius - I am growing these from clones I picked up near LA - I flowered them when they were short and they did not stretch much - you might find this pheno in a pack of seeds but if you live in socal you could probably find this clone...I dont know if I can put that info on here or not. I dont know how they would do in scrog - but they would be good in sog for sure.

Hey Tomas your grow is coming along beautifully ;-) I got a couple questions for ya though...

In one of your posts you said you were at day 13 flower day 20 of 12/12 was it 13 days from when you could see pistils or something?

And what size light are you using...I'm not sure if you posted it somewhere but I was wondering how many watts was givin you those results

ASD - I am using two lights. A 400W is sitting over the taller plants and a 250 is sitting over the shorter plants. The lighting in there is kindof a pain in the ass b/c the strains have about a foot of height difference - there is a pic earlier in this thread. I like to count flowering when I first see pistils - not when I go to 12/12. The reason is - I have found that some strains take longer to show pistils than others. Some strains take a couple days - others take a few weeks. For some reason, these two strains started flowering about the same time - about one week after 12/12 - so I just started counting flowering then. I have found that counting the days of flowering when I first see pistils helps me get a better estimate of how many days the plant has actually been producing flowers - which in turn gives me a better sense of when they will need to be chopped.

Ahhh cool that's what I was figuring actually just wanted to make sure I understood you correctly...I'm at 22 in 12/12 and I guess about 10 days after showing pistils...I'm using just one 400 watter and have the same problem one plant is like 33inches tall and the other is only like 18-20 so I have the light at an angle facing the corner covered in mylar to try and help but ehh...next grow will be much better as the clones I choose to go with should all be about the same height...

Great work though yer gonna get a huge yield from the look of em

Im thinking they need about 1 more week of nutes and then a five day flush. Just started some Humbolts Own Gravity flower hardener on them and have been using liquid Kool Bloom for the last 10 days or so. The trichs are clouding up really nicely - the diesel is finishing a bit quicker than the Kali Mist. Looks like they will both be in the harvest window at the 8 week mark. The leaves are fading nicely - many of the diesel leaves have turned purple. The first two pics are Kali Mist and the last is pure diesel kush. The full size pics look way better than the thumbs. They are riveling the sparkle of diamonds with all those crystals...I hope all the trichs kick up yer final weight...those pics are ideally what I'm shooting for my girls to look like...I'm finally seeing some whiteness spreading to the leaves on the main buds...I'm thinking about the same flush time as well I don't know from experience but it doesn't seem like a much longer flush would help any what ppm did you get up to?

Well - I am going to tell you my opinion but some people think otherwise. I believe that if your are using a flushing product usually the flush is about 3-5 days and I would say dont flush with pure water - you will kill many of the cells by unfavorable osmosis conditions within the plant. During flush, you mainly want to get the ass tasting nitrogen out of the plant.
I have a cool idea for you that you might like to check out on your first grow - it will really help you in your future exploration of cannabis---you should cut off some small buds really early - just one or two-and smoke them. I usually use the microwave to dry them and see where they are at. I think its important to a cannabis grower to know what a 35 day bud tastes like and feels like vs. a 45 day bud or a 54 day bud. Now that you have the opportunity with you own buds, try some not so done shit just for the purpose of really getting to know the plant. It will make you more knowledgeable about the effects of your weed and weed in general. I actually have - I know this is nerdy-a weed smoking by strand journal where the effects are listed down for many of the strains that I have tried.
