Hello,

Welcome to the best hobby you could ever choose.

Lets see if we can't get you situated, at least a little.

1.Where do I get seeds?

I would recommend purchasing your seeds from one of the following two stores. www.seedsdirect.to or dr.chronic.com. I have used both seed banks and they are both fast, stealthy in their packaging, and reliable. They also have some of the best prices around. I would not worry about finding the most potent, biggest, baddest strain quite yet. Just go with something within your price range. You are going to be coming up on a lot of expenses if you do decide to get into growing. One breeder that I think has middle of the road prices and very good genetics is BOG. Here is a link to his strains. -Click Me-

2. How exactly do I grow weed?

This subject can be very vast, varying in many methods from soil, to soiless mediums, to hydroponics, aeroponics, etc. We will have to narrow this down a bit more before we can get into details. I will however put in a bit of an item list, these will all be items that you will need to purchase/procure before you start. You will want to have everything in order before you plant the first seed. To early of a jump start can lead to a disapointing attempt.
  • Containers - you will want a couple different sizes for each plant that you will have. They should start off in a smaller pot, moved to a larger (say 1 gallon), then moved to a final (say 3-5 gallon) container.
  • Grow Medium - You will have to chose a grow medium, either a soil based medium, a soiless mix (this is a mix of non-soil ingredients such as peat moss or coco coir), perlite will also need to be purchased. Other common ingredients that are added to mixes are vermiculite, bone meal, and blood meal.
  • Lighting - This is going to be one of your biggest purchases, there are different types of lights that can be used to grow, the three most common varieties are fluorescent lights, high pressure sodium (HPS), and Metal Halide (MH). Fluorescent lights are good for the first part of the plants life (this stage of life is called the vegetative state, Veg.). MH lights are also used for veg.. They are the best option to use for veg. HPS lights are used for the second part of the plants life (this stage is the bloom/flowering stage. HPS lights put out a light spectrum that mimics the sun during the latter part of the growing season. This helps your plants to produce heavy yielding buds (the smokeable form of marijuana). Here is a link that you can follow to get some more detailed info for lights. -Click Me-
  • Nutrients - Nutrients are food for your plants. Their are a ton of different brands and varieties out there. I would suggest going to Advanced Nutrients Forums and start reaserching their products. I have been reading up on them for the last little while and I think that they are a very well put together company.

I think that is all that I will cover for now. If you are still interested in growing after you research the above info then please just let me know and I will try to help you out more.

Growing takes commitment, space, money, patience, and the ability to see/forge past the unavoidable problems that come up along the way. There are many areas that you will have to cover. Such as air circulation, venting, air temps, root temps, humidity, Co2, light schedules, etc.

I do not in anyway want to discourage you one bit, but I do want you to know that it is a work to grow high quality herb.

You could simply throw some cheap flouros in your closet and manage to grow out some decent plants I am sure, but if you want to step it up and make it worth your while then you will have to be ready to invest.

If you live in a country where it is illeagal to cultivate marijuana then you better make sure that the gain is worth the risk. For your own safety, and good will.

I hope you digest all the info you find and come back hungry for more.

Talk to you later.

Peace
