    soad cant really be labelled, their output was far too varied and blended the punk/metal/hardcore genres and they were brilliant. slipknot are ok but im not really into that hardcore/metalcore thing. trivium and goatwhore are ok too. im with the oldstyle crowd really, doom metal and all that. check out the sword for a decent band who sing, not scream.

    your dam right there on a break. i was just gonna bust out a mad post till i read yours. iv been a fan of Slipknot from the very very very fist album. "Mate Feed Kill Repeat" i bet many of u havnt heard of that one :thumbsup: it only has like 10 tracks on it. But never say RIP to Slip, there not dieing off this easy lol. they'll be back in 08 iv heard this more then once. everyones just doing there side projects. as for Stone Sour they've been around for quite some time and i fucking love everything they put out aswell.

    I actually heard their very first album before and I do not care for it. Their debut album though is one of fav. heavy albums ever. It's rough sounding, just the way music should sound. It's not cut and pasted and dead on sounding.
