I've heard of people making frames out of pvc piping and then attaching the mylar to those frames so that they can be removed and cleaned occasionally, plus it creates an airspace between the wallboard and the mylar preventing molding of the wallboard.

I don't have any REAL mylar, I just used some leftover wrapping paper I had around, its ghetto but it works better than unpainted wallboard...

Next grow, real mylar on pvc will be the plan.
herbaltivo Reviewed by herbaltivo on . how to fit mylar? would the best way to fit mylar be to glue it directly to the wall or would it be better to tack it to a frame? i also had a bit of an idea and was wondering if its ok to do this: make a circular reflector out of card or thin mdf cut to extend over the tops of the plant pot by a few inches. cut a hole in the middle large enough for growth and for watering, then cut a line from the middle to the outer edge so that it can be removed. then cover with white paint or mylar. would this benefit the Rating: 5
