old hip-hopThat's what I mainly listen to when I blaze, old rap. It's the best when you're high.

old hip-hopOld hip-hop carrys those beats where you can just sit there and bob your head to the simple hi-hats, snares, and claps. Great when high, you get so easily lost in it.

Great example....Mobb Deep - Shook Ones or Jay-Z - Feelin' It

old hip-hopI love old school hip-hop. There isn't a whole lot of new stuff I like, except Jedi Mind Tricks. Other than that, the newer stuff doesn't appeal to me.

When I do listen to hip-hop, which isn't often, I prefer the sounds of old Cypress Hill. By that I mean the Black Sunday and the Temples of Boom era. When they stopped rapping about weed, I stopped listening to them as they became just another group.

House of Pain. Fine Malt Lyrics album.

 Funkdoobiest (Brothas Doobie album)

Ice Cube (Lethal Injection or Predator)

That's about it pretty much. I guess early 90's hip-hop was my fav. and I find Jedi Mind Tricks keeping it as real as it can get.

old hip-hopyea B.I.G. is the man. another good old-school cd to listen to when blazed is illmatic from nas. i can be zoned out listening to those lyrics for hours. i love it cuz when he raps it feels like story time and u just cant wait to hear what happens next. Bloodshot red eyes, high, yellow envelopes of lye
 Openin cigars, let tobacco fly
 Our condos are tuneproof
we\'re looking out the sky\'s moonroof
Got you shittin like gin and prune juice

old hip-hopAgree 100%. That album is poetry in motion. You're right, it's like you are 'watching' the lyrics. Best storyteller in music...BIG was great at that too. Originally Posted by hisbiggness36 Originally Posted by hisbiggness36
