I agree about the name change thing. I could really care less. Thought it was worth mentioning though (to tell the full story). The joke thing however just offends the hell out of me. A couple jokes I heard were pretty generic, but the wall around mexico was pretty on the head. The problem here is that when you have a guy like carlos/ned/whatever, his whole act is built on delivery (a large part of comedy). Joe even told Mencia that he thought he was great at delivering a joke, but you can't take credit for the writing.

It's like the guys on SNL. Occationally you might have a skit idea, but there are teams of writers involved in the process. The comedians go on stage and deliver the jokes, but the writers still get thier names in the credit. Carlos is essentially doing the same thing of recording a cover of a song and telling the world you wrote it. Say I redid a cover of some beatles song and it sounds so different/better than the orignal, that I just put my name down as writing it. People would flip and I'd get sued silly.
