Regular light dimmer switches won't be much good.
Unless the dimmer switch is designed for a fan, you'll burn one after another with time.

I know from experience.

Do I just wire a plug onto the end. Does it matter which way I wire the wires to a plug? No right? I tried both ways and the fan pushes air the same direction (not reversible) but dont want to connect for good and burn the motor if it need to be hooked up a certain way.
