got 10' of flex duct from the hardware store today before I went to work...got home tonight and improvised...this is what I came up with to bring my air down from the attic to my grow space...I don't have any exhaust really except for my door being cracked and it allows for a bit of air to flow from it..but with at least a bit of air coming from my attic that helps keep it pretty cool...
I had a hell of a time figuring out a way to put the small fan to where it would blow air into the duct...as you can see that I used supplement jug..anyone got some advice on how to improvise a way to get fan to the end of a duct and blowing through? I'm using small household fans..I would like to create a duct for exhaust, but am stumped right now on how to affix a fan..anyone got an idea I'm open for suggestions on that part..thanks

MA are those leaf edges curling down? You say you just got that light. how far away is it? Maybe it's just the photo...?

yes, weedhound some of them seem to be curling and getting upside down canoe look...I would believe it's from room temps. Light's a good 18 inches away from this one...I'm doing what I can to stabilize temps to around or hopefully below 80...for a couple hours during the daytime it gets up to 85 I believe..but lights go out soon after that..

You might try pulling your light back just a touch for a few days until they get used to the new lighting.......hps is a big step above your original lighting....I have some new seedlings I just stuck in my hydro and can't use my light on them yet....mh1kw.....even from about 4 feet....have to edge it in bits at a time or they get heat stressed even though room temp is good. . Are they perked up in the morning? Maybe I'm just being paranoid.

I've had this HPS running for several days now..they've actually grown quite a bit. as for perkyness..sometimes in the day they nearly droop plum over..like they're tired or something...but couple hours later they're fine. I share the concern with heat though..bigtime. I've had hermies last two tries because of heat I would say..I don't want that again. I'll be watching them closely..

Hey markass Im having that same problem with my seedlings They do just fine with the lights off and for a few hours with lights on and bam they droop. I think it maybe the lights because I did increase the wattage in that closet and some of the plants look like they are doing fine and adjusting I hope the other ones come around soon.:rastasmoke: :hippy:

scrapped that duct...wasn't moving enough air...gonna place an order for one of these..6 In. 110VAC 250CFM In-Line Duct Fan. Should displace enough air to make me happy..and significantly better once I can get a cool tube.
within the next couple days..I get paid tomorrow. gonna run a 6" duct with that fan at the top in my attic access..coming from my growspace...then I'm hoping to get a cool tube to connect the duct to soon...but for now just gonna have it down pulling air out..that should work for me.
