My odor Problem
Yo whatsup, 'my' fan will be getting here in around a week and 'i'll be able to have it set up with my carb filter as soon as it gets here. 'i' was just wondering what should 'i' use in the meantime for temporary, theyre starting to stink up 'my' whole basement, ive checked stores for small desk fans to no avail (still winter here in zimbabwe lol) so yea, anything in mind? Peace:stoned:

i never tried it but read it works as a quick fix, get a pail with water and add pinesol to it, but not a whole bunch, add a air pump to it and let it bubble away and the smell should go away in no time leaving your room smelling fresh.

air pumps can be had for under $20 here in US (the ones for fish-tanks), add some tubing and an air stone (under $10) still cheap enough to use in the soap bucket, and can be re-used if you ever go hydro.

Forget it. There is no single thing that will remove the smell without the carbon scrubbing action.
Save your money and try and contain the smell. Any fans and all the other air moving machines you buy will be useless without the carbon scrubbing. The smell simply will not be masked or just go away.

While I am still waiting to hear from markass on 2 ways to effectively control the odor, this is the ONLY way I have ever found to fully address the odor issue.
ALL OTHER MEANS HAVE FAILED AND WILL FAIL.
Now if your weed is shit or badweed shit, then maybe all you will need is a ionizer. But even those suck ass. If you gonna grow, and grow good stuff, this or some other version of carbon scrubbing is the only way to remove the terpene from the grow room.
And this wont keep the grow room free of the smell, but it will remove the smell from the air the filter intakes...to be cleanly vented elsewhere.
