Bubblers

A bubbler does the same thing for you that a bong does: it filters the smoke through water. Basically, a bubbler is just a spoon (or sometimes a sherlock) with a chamber under the bowl that is big enough to fill with water.

i personally think that sherlock bubblers and hammers look the coolest. i dont know if there is any advantage or disadvantage though.

Look at the picture of the bubbler I posted.

The bubble on the bottom is what you fill with water. In my picture, there is a shotgun/carb hole on the other side of the bubbler (not pictured), so you fill that up with water, and the bubble on the bottom of the pipe, fills up with water. There is a stem tube (not removable) that goes down from the top of the bowl, down into the bubble part. When you smoke, it goes through that water cooling the smoke.

It's pretty much a cross between a pipe and a bong. You can use it dry or with water, doesn't matter.

just my advice i perfer a nice sherlock to say a sidecarb/hammer. i like to see the bowl while im burning, so thats why i tend to like sherlocks but thats just me. ive hit some awesome hammers out there and usually hammers are a little cheaper i think. just make sure its inside out or atleast has some thicknes to it. nothing worse than buying a bubbler with thin glass. and once again its already been said but id say find a local shop so you can pick the glass up, inspect it, touch it, critisize it, put it up your mouth (dont slobber over it) and just get a feel for it before you put down the money for it. good luck man and let us know what you end up going for!
