    Depression

I have suffered from depression for years, only 2 things ever helped
    1. Read Chicken soup for the soul series of stories ( I swear this works)
2.Selexa - antidepressant I'm on it for life.

    Good luck

If you are bi-polar all it takes is time. If not, therapy and meds perhaps.

chicken soup for the soul.... thats a book i take it?

and i was hoping i wouldnt have to resort to meds.... and really didnt want to resort to therapy, i don't like the idea of ppl getting inside my head... plus my family and friends would know something was up if i was going to therapy sessions.... atleast meds would be easier to hide.

so far i have been playing games to take my mind of things, this does help but its not a solution, just a distraction.... so much so that i spent an entire 18 and a half hours playing Resident Evil 4 from start to finish, just so i could avoid how i feel.

oh yeah, i'm also paranoid... pretty badly, i dont trust anyone except my family and close friends, so its hard to make new friends since i dont trust them, and even more so when it comes to girls i "like", just dont trust em to not hurt me.

Yes it is a series of heartwarming books

I was against taking meds too but my deppression got so unbearable I tried it and I havent been depressed now for 2+ years.

Why do you feel you have to hide this from people? It is nothing to be ashamed of.

Therapy can be very helpful, it's not about letting someone in your head. It's about dealing with issues from your past that you have burried which are causing problems now. It is a very healthy thing!

First off, do you feel depressed because of something that youve done (or think youve done), or are you depressed for no apparant reason?

    good question^

    there is NO MIRACLE CURE!

U MUST FIND THE ROOT TO YOUR DEPRESSION.

ALSO IF U DONT WANT MEDS BUT WANT SAFER ALTERNATIVES TRY:

5-HTP - GOOD FOR DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY, WEIGHT LOSS AND INSOMNIA

ST JOHNS WORT - VERY GOOD 4 DEPRESSION

ALSO VITIMAN B IS GOOD TOO.

    AND ALTERNATIVE MEDS ARE:

    YOGA
    MEDITATION
    THAI CHI
    EXCERCISE

    All the best

your depression has nothing to do with other people's problems.
You have to help yourself before you can help anyone else!
