well, your area of undergrad degree is of very little consequence today. most eployers are looking to see if you were disciplined enough to complete a degree. you have to more focus on area of degree for master's. of course if you are looking for a highly specialized area like medicine, then you have to really focus your undergrad... other than specializations like that, study what you like!

so if a job is between you and an equally qualified person with a degree that is more relavent to the position, yeah, you will probably not get the job... but that is about the only circumstance that it would affect you in (from my experience and from talking to lots of business owners).
