seed sacs
Hi
Still learning as my first Female approaches her first harvest ( and hopefully not her last ). I noticed a single very large seed sac at each node off the main branch. The 4 of them just sit there by themselves, getting fat. If my info is correct, they should be full of THC. What do you do with them during harvest?
Thanks

ok i think you've got some things mixed up.
I'll attach some pics that might help with the anatomy.
the seed sacks are called Calyxes. each calyx has two pistils coming out. 1 bud consists of hundreds of calyxes
It sounds to me like you are talking about Pollin sacks. I think you have a hermi or a male.
I'll atach a pic of a hermi,
Trichombs are what store the THC, they are located all over the plant but are only named in the picture of the Calyx.

Hi Harris7
Yes I was confused, and I do believe they are called Calyx. But I'm almost certain she's a she and not a he-she

I'm no expert, but the really don't look like balls to me, if it was my plants i'd say she was a fem , i wouldn't do anything except let her flower.

Hi keeko
Very squishy
Should I use them with my trim to make hash?
Dry them out, and put with my curing buds? or
Quick dry for a quick hit?
Thanks

theres some shit info on this thread lol, for starters, no, they arent full of THC, those are developing seeds, which have THC on the outside, like bud, and a seed on the inside, dont go plucking them off, you dont get much smoke from them, dont go squeezing them either, you could damage the seed, let it go the full way, and harvest it along with the rest of the plant, then take it out, let it dry, and remove the seed from the calyx, then smoke the calyx, and plant the seed, dont expect it to be full of THC, because it wont be, THC is produces as a self defense type of mechanism, bugs wont eat resin, so it coats its seed pods in resin, just in case something tries to eat it.
basically, just leave the seeds alone, let them do their thing...
good luck..

yea you could do either one of those things or instead of wanting to try some bud before you harvest you can pick those off for a quick little taste
