    1200cfm ... too much?

i got a smokin deal on a 1200cfm attic fan

ive got a 1000watt mh going up and 6 200watt cfl (compact my ass these things are like 6x16")

the room is approx 128cu. ft. 16 sq. ft. are there downsides to over ventilating it

im just guessin but i would think 1200cfm fan would turn into like 800 or 1000 after the duct work

it can only be too much if your room gets too cold, but u can set the fan on a timer, i say it will work nicely, how big is it?

somewhere online they have the equivalent of a dimmer switch for fans. you just turn the dial to how strong you want your fan to be. i got one but i forgot where, they're only like 30 dollars. search around. ooo go to Discount Hydroponics - Home Page in the ventilation section. thats what you want.

Make sure you have the correct voltage supply for it in the room you wanna use it- I got a 1400cfm fan for free, but its 240VAC and I have to wait until I rewire the circuit for 240.

its 15" 1600cfm 120vac @ like 5amps its just a giant inline "induct" i think im not that sure i aint opened the bitch up and it comes witha a temp controller so i guess im not trippin ill just set the bitch at like 75-80ish

im thinkin im gunna get a 15" y .... if they only have 16" ill wrap the fan in an inch of duct tape and then reduce it to 2 12 inchers and mount vents for it on the right and left sides of mah closet celing if they dont have a 15" y

i guess ill make a cone outta sheetmetal duct tape and self tapping screws that fits the outside of the fan and the outside of a 12" y and then reduce it to a pair of 8s cus fuck it i already got a grip of 8in duck and starter collers so fuck it if i gotta half ass it im gunna half ass it cheap

Does it look something like this? If you can duct it it should work great. Make sure the mounting angle is correct otherwise it can be L-O-U-D.. I wish I had room for a 15" fan....
