Not really. Unless the cannabis is stored under light and/or excessive heat, the THC will break down. Heat and light degrade THC, so avoid that and you should be good.

If you use a good storage method I can't see why it would..

Always keep it stored in a container. Cause if it is left out over time I would figure that it would lose some of its potency.
I have found roaches under my desk or wherever that were 6 months old though and I still get ripped. I usually find those when I am dry though. Seems I look a little harder at that time.

    Thanks for the help.

I put the buds in a baggie and put the baggie in a container and stored in a dark place.

I've found nugs that had been lost for an indefinate period of time, but months atleast, and always smoke them and get high.

The only thing I know that can kill buds is too much moisture in the air that gets trapped with the bud, or too much air and light. If no air can flow around the bud, moisture will settle in and create mold, but you can't just leave it laying around on a shelf, the light and air will dry it out.
Do what everyone's saying. Store in a loose bag and or containter in a cool dry place.
