when to top??? first indoor attempt

Im at week 3 of growth. I started out using flouros, shoplight 80w with grow bulbs and just a couple of days ago I set up 2 150w hps. I can instantly see the stems have gotten bigger. I also changed my timer yesterday from 18-6 to 12-12. they just got a feeding of bloom booster and at this time I've topped 2. I have 5. I topped them after the 5th leave set. I've heard they triple in size so I figured that would be a good hieght to top them. My grow space is unlimited being that I've cleared out a whole room in my house and now only use a corner of it. I plan on utilizing at least half the room but havent figured out yet quite how to do it. Here are some photos. all constructive feedback appreciated!

you started 12/12 and THEN topped? Tsk Tsk. You should top early on in your VEG stage, you don't want to do anything to stress em out once you've hit flowering. generally, i top(ped) as the third set of leaves start to come in, and the second set on each resulting stalk. Then I just left em alone and had big, bushy, beautiful girls later.
