Different Coloured Eyes
the color of your eye has nothing to do with how you see color. but i do know what your trying to say minnie. people agree that a car might be red and even a specific shade of red, but people might see it as a different shade but it would be so similar to the actual color that they couldnt tell the difference. this might be from shitty genes or other factors like mabey you looked in a laser pointer as a child too much. mabey you got poked in the eye last week and now everthing in one eye seems to be shadier. thats how it is for me
awp Reviewed by awp on . Different Coloured Eyes i was just thinking about this... like if you have green eyes do you see red as a different colour to someone with blue eyes... and how can this be proved... cos if one person identifies a colour as red, they wouldnt actually know if it was different to what everyone else thinks of as red... because since birth they will have seen everyone elses blue as red and therefore just associate the colour as red... ...im confusing myself so much ! so do people with different coloured eyes see Rating: 5

1212,
I've wondered about this for a long time, and the phrase "in the eye of the beholder" always comes to mind. Even if our sensory organs are all of the same type, and scientific instruments can be used to make precise measurements, who can say that the connections between our eyes and brains are wired up all the same? There's such diversity in humanity, I seriously doubt that I see exactly what you see, and that we interpret it the same way in a kind of universal understanding. Isn't that what art is all about?
It would be interesting to devise an experiment that would determine the answer to the question, but first I must finish my perpetual motion machine.

I've also wondered this. It's a very interesting concept and could very well be true. There's no way to tell if red to me is the same to you, and thats weird.
