Different Coloured Eyes
i was just thinking about this... like if you have green eyes do you see red as a different colour to someone with blue eyes... and how can this be proved... cos if one person identifies a colour as red, they wouldnt actually know if it was different to what everyone else thinks of as red... because since birth they will have seen everyone elses blue as red and therefore just associate the colour as red...
...im confusing myself so much !
so do people with different coloured eyes see colours differently !?
...like maybe we all have the same favourite colour but interpret it as different....1212awwaww Reviewed by 1212awwaww on . Nope. Eye-color doesn't effect how we see color.

Different Coloured Eyes
There was this kid at one of my schools:
He was amazed that his younger brother could tell what they were having for breakfast, one day - he was, like, "How did you know that we were having eggs and bacon?"
The younger brother replied, "because I smelled them being cooked by mum."
At 7yrs of age, this kid suddenly discovered that he didn't have a sense of smell!!
Wierd, eh?
Anyways, no is the answer lmaoo
Although, pigeons cant watch films at the cinema..because their brains read images at 7000fps, and humans read them at 700fps..which means that the image on the screen would appear like a still photo to them.
The answer is still no, though

Wow, Res, the kid never he knew he couldn't smell because he couldn't smell. I've been getting stoned very rarely, lately, but I just did, FINALLY, and you just blew my mind for a while!

I know what you're saying.
Since I was born, i've been seeing things of the colour Red, and being told that they are Red. The same goes for Blue, Green, Yellow, etc. The same has happened to you, and everyone else.
So when I see an object that I have been taught to recognize as Red, I think 'hmm.. that's Red'. When you see the same thing you will also think 'hmm.. that's Red'. Logically, that makes sense. lol
You and I are both looking at the same 'Red' object and identifying it as Red, because we have learnt that that particular colour is called Red. But, how do I know that you are seeing the same colour that i'm seeing?
You may be seeing what I know as 'Blue', but you are calling it 'Red' because that's what you have been taught to do. So, when we see a Red object, we both identify it as the same colour (Red), but we're not actually seeing the same colour. But, there's no way to tell if we're seeing the same colour or not, because whatever colour we are seeing, we have both been taught to identify it as Red.
I've often wondered about that.. Funnily, i'm nearly always stoned when I do. lol

You know, I've thought about that many times too... In the end though, after taking some physics classes, I think everyone sees colors the same way, though don't quote me on this, I might be totally wrong. The colors we see are just different wavelengths of the visible spectrum (the entire spectrum ranges across radio waves to x-rays to gamma rays--visible light is only a very small fraction of that), ultra-violet being high-frequency (short wavelength) and infra-red being low-frequency (longer wavelength).
we all have rods and cones in our eyes, and when they are stimulated by a certain frequency I think each individual's brain should interpret them pretty much the same way, unless someone is color blind, of course.
Meh, I just wrote but I'm still not sure lolPeter: [writing letter] Dear MacGuyver, Enclosed is a rubber band, a paper clip, and a drinking straw. Please save my dog.
:stoned:

but how do you know we're not all colour blind? lol
Just because we both see a car and think it's Red, doesnt mean we're both seeing the same colour.. If a thousand people see the car, they'll all think it's Red, but who knows if they're all seeing the same colour lol

I've also wondered if we hear the same things too.
Like, when I go to the bank and ask for a financial boost - they think they've just heard a brilliant joke
