done it already skink. they told me to call a vet. the vet told me to call SPCA. it's a run-around. i called them this morning.
i have also tried a coal tar shampoo that my boss gave me. he's got two pits as well. one of which caught the demodex mange. he gave me the shampoo he used on his dog to help with the itch. doesn't seem to be helping that much though.

What about plain old hydrocortisone cream? I'll check and see if that's contraindicated in animals.

This link addresses oral and injectable gluco and corticosteroids. By the looks of it, a topical preparation of 1% hydrocortisone is safe and routine.
