    Problems

So i just started some plants about 2 weeks ago theyve sprouted and ive put them in about a 4inch planter pot. I took some rich soil from outside ran it through a silk screen and thats what ive been using. The plants were looking healthy until i realized that there were no holes at the bottom of the pot. Ive since transferred the plants into a new pot with holes but the soil is looking kind of muddy and im afraid its not going to dry. Should the plants be ok? or should i even bother a transfer into a whole new pot of soil? also... im on a low budget... whats the best kind of soil to use and is it ok to use soil from outdoors when growing indoors? and one more thing.. i grew plants before and never used nutrients of any sort. the plants seemed fine and were going to have good yield until discovered by my roommates. Is this unusual? and if i need to add nutrients when do i do it and is miracle grow acceptable? im real new to this and i appreciate you guys' patience and advice!

soil from outdoors generally contains pests that could irritate your plant later on in life. ideally you should use a inexpensive compost from your local garden center. mj does not like Muddy soil as it cuts of oxygen to the roots stunts growth and in some extreme cases the plant can drown.

Nutrients are generally needed as mj use a lot of them through its stages of growth. for example a lack of nitrogen will coarse the plants leaves to turn a light shade of yellow. Ul find a lot of people discourage the use of miracle grow on this site but others praise it. If your on tight budget miracle grow should do the job.
