Well I thought about retracting what I said, but I think I'll stick to it.
I apologize for bashing your 'game'. If you enjoy it, then go for it. In my opinion though, only lazy people and 8 yr olds play it.
I'm still pretty sure I'm right about it being developed for the disabled/handicaped though.

The reason some people like it is because it's easy to master. No I don't suck at folf, I might not be as good as you are, but give me a couple of days to practice and I will be.

There's a reason why throwing a frisbee around never became popular.....it's easy to master.
Golf like other real sports takes a lot of time and discipline to get right. Practice and more practice. It's also a bit harder on the joints and muscles than throwing a peice of plastic.

Bottom line, enoy your game. Don't let me or anyone else take away from it. If it was that important to you, then nothing I say would make a difference anyway.

Have fun, f*ck the rest

Ohh....and golf isn't expensive. You can pickup a set of clubs at the flea market for under 20 bucks. A bucket of balls at the driving range is ususally around $2. That's all you need to get started

Benagain, I'm not lazy or disabled (maybe if i get some crypt) or hadicapped. I play soccer and football(6v6) passing league, i run in the morning, and lift weights. However i do enjoy a round or Folf, i call it frisbee golf, but WTF, who cares. The shit is fun and a good and cheap competition between buddys and yes its easy to be good, but master, i dont think so, II've seen talent. Try Hitting a 1.5' circle from 450 feet. I don't think so. Some of these guys are really good. I think it wierd to be so obsessed where they play it that much but meeeh. How wierd is hitting a little ball into a hole WTF is that. That requires little strength or agility, mabye some coordination, or moving your arm in a straight line, but theres no workout or anythin. And Golf is REALLY REALLY EXPENSIVE. Dude get real, I'm 6'5" and i need a custom set of shafts or something cuz i cant use reg. size clubs. And, in San Diego, a round is gonna set up back $50, thats without the cart and beer, thats almost a minimum. Folf, 2.00 for the round , and 1.50 for the rental disc.

Yeah, just like you can steal a putter from the the put put golf.

Hey,like I said, don't let me keep you from having a good time

In fact don't let anyone keep you from enjoying it.

I realy have no right to bash the game. I never thought much of it, but I don't think of much most of the time so it's all good

Whatever man. I've never seen a disabled individual on a disc course but I don't doubt that they'd have fun doing so. Whether or not they'd be able to actually make it to any of the greens, I question. But having fun is where its at.
I never seem to see anyone on golf courses except old people. But maybe golf is just so mindbendingly complex that it takes a lifetime to master? yeah? Or maybe it's just a sport for people without athletic ability.

Greenfog had a good suggestion with frisbee soccer (ultimate?). But I'd rather just play soccer.

I play golf. I'm 25. All my friends play golf as well. You ususally see old people out there because they don't have a schedule. When you're married or have kids (or both), it's a bit more tricky to get out on the greens.
If you're going to do anything outside it's cool with me. Folf is still better than doing nothing. At least that's how I see it.

I guess I was bashing it because I've never seen anyone play it other than dirty hippies.

I'll say it again. I have no right to hold anything against the game and honestly hope that everyone can enjoy it. Just disregard anything I've said about it. I really hope I haven't tainted/ruined the experience for you.

nah it's cool. I love the game for chilling out and relaxing at the park afterall.

Though you have reinforced by perception of all golfers as pretentious...
