I really do not think they should be able to control you outside of school though. Thats wrong.

Control the kids, make them sit down and shut up and do what they're told, and learn what they're supposed to learn whether they like it or not. Control what they wear; their hair length and colour; control how they speak, what they say; basically if they do what they tell you then they'll learn what you teach them.
