How should it be run?
Poll Option 1 - Stricter
This means more rules, more punishments, ergo more control. Control the kids, make them sit down and shut up and do what they're told, and learn what they're supposed to learn whether they like it or not. Control what they wear; their hair length and colour; control how they speak, what they say; basically if they do what they tell you then they'll learn what you teach them.
Poll Option 2 - More 'liberal'.
This means less rules, less punishments, ergo more respect from the students. Let them decide how they dress, how they act, how they talk. Stress to them how important education is, and let them decide how much work they do. Respect them, treat them like adults, and get respect back. Be friends to the students, not dictators. Let them make their own dicisions, and take responsibility for those decisions.
So, which do you think is the best way for schools to be run?GHoSToKeR Reviewed by GHoSToKeR on . Education How should it be run? Option 1, without a doubt.
Bring back the cane and sort the little bastards out. Everythings got too slack these days - eg. You give a kid a clip round the ear and next thing you know your up for child beatin - load of bollox.

I think the schools should be run under Option 1 to a certian age. Like when they get to middle school/high school they take on option 2. Because highschool is there to prepare you for your future.

The vast majority is obviously going to go with option 2. This is a pothead forum after all.

option 2. that way the kids who really do want to learn will, and more emphasize can be put on them. option 1 would cause too much trouble. how the fuck is a school gonna tell me how long to keep my hair(maybe that would piss me off cause i have long hair now). to me, thats them trying to tell me how i live my life outside of school. next thing you know, they'll be enforcing drug tests there.

definitely option 2. I believe the way school systems are run more like option one, and it takes away the creativity and imagination all children posess. Society wants everyone to be the same.

I haven't voted yet but im at a catholic high school and #1 is definetly how they operate. It kinda sucks i guess, but kids don't jack around as often. Some of my teachers are cool and let you goof off to some extent. More learning is definetly accomplished than at a public shool. Actually i am going to vote number 1 because public schools are pretty much doing #2 and that isnt working. I mean just look at where we rank compared to other industrialized nations. We aint good. I dont think the hair or clothes matter but punishments should definetly be stricter in public schools
