Mama Plants
Im on my second harvest and Ive grown out quite a few plants from seed and ive got a few im trying to mother.
My question is, if a mother is grown from seed and not flowered to determine sex what are the chances of getting fems over dudes from my clones?
Or is it better to flower then clone once the sex is known?bigfatty69 Reviewed by bigfatty69 on . take one clone of each mom and after rooting for a few days flower the clone and it will tell you what sex your mums are

Most strains show preflowers by week 6-8 anyway so if you have a fairly strong magnifying glass (10x at least) you should be able to sex them at that age and avoid wasting any more time in veg than you have to. Once you have your moms figured out you can keep them under a bank of flouro's to help cut down on expenses and still get plenty of shoots to cut. I have a perpetual garden going now with 6 mother plants I'm working for clones and so far it's been working great with a 3 week harvest period to begin in about 4 more weeks. Every 3 weeks 10-12 plants are harvested while the mom's keep making more. It's a lot of work and you can't really go anywhere for any length of time while rooting clones but it keeps me out of trouble...
