What comes after death?

Are there any Realists in this thread?

When I was 6 years old, my dad took me to a beef slaughter house in Corpus Christi. We were just there to sign some orders and contracts and whatnot. While I was standing there eating my sandwich on the kill floor, I could see the feet of the cattle that were once running around the brush country of south texas. They were coming up a ramp. You could see their feet and their nose smelling around confused as to where this ramp leads to. At this time, a man with a steel prod with a .22 caliber cartidge 'pops' the animal in the head with the steel pin. It is designed to destroy the motor functions of the animal. (you can't strap a 2500lb steer to a conveyer when its kicking, time is money). It hits the skids to the kill floor, they strap it up, and within 30 feet on that conveyer, they were totally skinned and headless. They use a forked winch to rip off the skin. There you really see an organism 'naked'. Right then and there, at 6 years old, I realized that there is absolutely NOTHING after death. Darkness is all you will find. Good thing is that the moment you are dead, you most likely won't really care. Your body decomposes and is used as a fuel by another organism. After I realized this, I finished my sandwich and never questioned death again.

Maybe in candy land something special happens to your 'soul'. Not in this world.

thinking of death terrifies me, honestly im scared to die. we dont know what to expect. noone really knows what happens. i personally think that when parents and young kids go to church they are filling their heads with a false sense of securitythinking that their is a higher power and hoping that higher power will give them life after death. because they are afraid of the end, all they can do is hope. but what happens after death? is it just darkness? does ur soul occupy another infant body and u just grow up again? does our soul wonder around aimlessly? we dont know. we will only know when our time comes.

Well, I can for a fact say, that when you 'kill' an animal, they bleed out, die, and no longer move. When a man gets hit by a bus, he bleeds out, dies, and no longer moves. My mother died 3 years ago. I know exactly where shes buried and I know she ain't going anywhere.

But then again, we can't see radio waves, but they are all around. Just because we don't see them doesn't mean they don't exist. But by the 'heaven' logic, theres a dog heaven, a bovine heaven, human heaven, and a giraffe heaven.

I am definately open to being proven wrong. I am in no way pushing this on anyone. But from my experiences, death is bleak and inevitable whether you get hit by a bus or die at 102.....don't kid yourself, you'll just be dissappointed. (if you could be disappointed and dead at the same time)

Life IS death, death IS life, and w/o it nothing would exist at all. I think the 'bottle' would better stand for "eternity", as life and death has been prevelant since the beginning of time.

And YES, together we can move the bottle in the direction we choose. We do it anyway, all we need is some unity to take it where it needs to go, lol!

Im not saying youre wrong, im not saying youre right, im just saying that there is no proof nor ever gonna be any way to prove where(if at all) are soul goes after we die(if you belive in souls that is).
