Maybe having so many regular ppl (ppl who do drugs recreationally, not for religious purposes) say that drugs open up new doorways is confirmation that drugs do have the ability to do this. I mean, who's to say that these other dimensions don't exist?

But it depends on who's saying this and what context it's in. If they're convinced that they're in la la land and see green elves everywhere, then that's probably not the same thing as taking peyote with a religious group and being able to open up spiritual avenues.
It's alright to explore the posibilities of other dimensions, spirituality, etc...but you can't lose yourself in them. I'm talking about people who took too much acid, and quit their jobs to follow timothy leary....or drive in a bus around America to spike punch with acid and fuck up so many people....or people who were convinced that this substance could be used as a mind controlling chemical, so they dosed eachother and unsuspecting civilians with it to test it.

It's alright to explore the cosmos of acid a couple of times....but this is the most insane drug there is. Be careful with it. Respect it.
