Are there really people who think this is true...?
People who do acid and LSD, saying shit like "there is more to reality than we know of" and that there are "hidden doors" and shit like that. How fucked up can these drugs be to make people believe these things?

They do have things that they can teach us. LSD is a TOOL. just like mushrooms.
Its not necissarily the drug teaching us but it is a catalyst to show us things we know inside ourselves but cant necissarily reach in a sober state.

IntrepidS come on man.. youre not so arrogant that you think you know if there are or not.. some of the leading physicists believe in other dimensions than our own, and could probably convince you if given the opportunity.. so how can you say its bullshit?

I remember I read an article on LSD and Shrooms and it told how some believe that lsd and shrooms sort of let us use "another part of our brain" that is impossible to in a sober state. I sorta believe this but so far its just seeing things and not applying any pyschic abilities.

Those are just different methods of use both is the chemical LSD-25. I knew exactly what you said. Its just that an LSD trip is really hard to describe those are some of the ways that they express what they felt, "There is more to reality that we know of" and " "Hidden doors" basically metaphors for saying It made them look at reality differently. The chemical changes the way your body processes the information that it recieves so you trip. It is a useful tool.
All drugs have their place:
Marijuana- realxing, medical applications, meditation
LSD- self exploration, realizing the different ways we precieve reality
Psilocybin Mushrooms- self exploration, realizing the different ways we precieve reality, Learning about our place in the world
Ecstasy- Therapy, psycology
I say also with the exception of METH, HEROIN, COCAINE. I have studyed these drugs and IMO dont feel the small number of pluses in the ocean of negatives is worth the use of these drugs.
I did not write my first post to insult you but like i said you dont have a clue what your talking about.

yeah, acid (d-lysergic acid diethylamide) is just another name for lsd(d-lysergic acid diethylamide), kinda like weed is another name for cannabis.
i can relate when people describe "reality as we know it" to have more to it than we actually know. i also [somewhat] think about how people who are "mad" (as in crazy) aren't really insane, how they just have parts of their brains turn on and stuck that aren't on for normal people, so they see beyond our reality. i've never taken lsd, but even mdma coupled with quite a bit of weed bruised up my ego and shattered my normal perception. certain drugs just allow you to look beyond and it really does change you. it's definately something to be experienced, as describing it can be difficult.
i totally beleive that there's "more to reality than we know"
i'm the same way when it comes to drugs. i'll stick with weed, sativa, shrooms, and mdma. possibly even mescaline (if i could ever get my hands on some) and nitrus (though brain lesions aren't my cup of tea really). not garbage like heroin, coke, huff, meth. and lsd.. well i'll try to stay away from it as there are [better] (read: phsysiologically safer heh) alternatives in a manner of speaking.
