Drug testing of teachers in CA?

Hello,

My friend wants to move out to California to be a teacher. The problem is he smokes pot for his depression so he wanted me to ask on here if there are any medical using teachers or if anyone knows if teachers in Cali get drug tested. I know in Texas and Arkansas they don't.

in the Torrance unified district in southern Cali they don't test.

my mom works for the district, and a family friend of ours also works in the district. i remember him saying "thank god they don't drug test, otherwise i'd be out of a job!"

I am also a substitute teacher in Orange County. I smoked with one of my former teachers after work the other day, it was a bit strange to say the least. :stoned:
